Hanni Liang is a pianist, concert creator, lecturer at the University of Music and Theatre Munich and founder of the TONALiSTEN Collective. Working in the field of new concert formats she is constantly searching for the "why" in her projects.
Next to concerts in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Piano Festival Ruhr or Kurhaus Wiesbaden, she is creating performances and participative concerts at festivals like Heidelberger Frühling, Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, Reeperbahn Festival or Mozartfest Würzburg. The next season sees her in performance projects together with Konzerthaus Berlin, Haus Styriarte Graz, Pinakothek der Moderne and Nottingham Concert Hall among others.
»I believe
that music can shape and transform the world we're living in«
that each person is an artist of an own garden«
in a new concert form which asks questions of our time«
in a social responsibility as an artist«
that we can create unique art experiences out of the traditions«
in humanity, social cohesion and sustainability through art«
